Constable Jimmy Rivera, Pct. 3

BISHOP (News Release) - On May 13, 2024, at about 5:30 pm, Precinct 3 Constables, Bishop Police Department and Emergency Service District 3 were dispatched to multiple vehicle accidents on Highway 77 near County Road 10.

Pct 3 Constables took care of the first accident South of County Road 10 and Bishop PD took care of the second accident on County Road 10.

The driver of the Blue 2018 Chevrolet Pickup stated he hydroplaned striking the retaining wall head on deploying the front air bags, then spinning his vehicle multiple times striking the retaining wall repeatedly and deployed the side airbags.

The driver reported no injuries, but EMS checked him out for precautionary reasons.

The driver was cited for failure to control speed and was released to a friend.

The vehicle was removed from the roadway by wrecker.
