MS-13 Member and Two Convicted Sex Offenders Arrested

EDINBURG - Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a MS-13 gang member, and two convicted sexual offenders in the Rio Grande Valley.

Agents assigned to the McAllen Border Patrol Station apprehended a group of 47 illegal aliens consisting primarily of families and unaccompanied children south of Mission, Texas.  Record checks on one adult male traveling with his wife and two young children, revealed he is a MS-13 gang member and has two previous removals from the United States.

On Wednesday, March 3, agents assigned to the McAllen Border Patrol Marine Unit apprehended a group of 12 illegal aliens in Mission, Texas. As they were being processed, it was discovered that a national of Guatemala has a prior arrest and conviction for sexual assault of a minor, and a previous removal from the United States. 

Yesterday, agents assigned to the Fort Brown Border Patrol Station arrested a national of Mexico in Brownsville, Texas, after illegally entering the United States.  Record checks revealed that Victor Leal-Tula is a registered sexual offender and has a conviction for sexual assault – 2nd degree felony, out of Harris County, Texas.  Leal also a prior removal from the United States.

Border Patrol processed the subjects accordingly.
