PREMONT, TEXAS - (News Release) PPD officers conducted a traffic stop on 100 block of SE 8th street for Fail to Yield to Right of Way.

When approaching driver side, officers observed two male subjects inside the vehicle.

The driver, Cecilio Olivarez, opened the driver’s door and officers observed a small clear baggy containing crystal like substance on the driver seat underneath his left pants pocket.

Mr. Olivarez was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1.

Vehicle was impounded and Mr. Olivarez was transported to the JWCSO jail without further incident.
