KINGSVILLE (News Release) – The City of Kingsville Mayor, City Commissioners and staff is sending well wishes to Mayor Pro Tem Hector Hinojosa. Commissioner Hinojosa is currently at a Christus Spohn hospital in Corpus Christi recovering from a non-life-threatening injury sustained during a fall yesterday. He remains in good spirits and would like to thank his fellow commissioners, city staff and the public for thoughts and prayers during his recovery. Voters elected Hinojosa to the role of city commissioner in May 2018. Hinojosa is currently serving his second term in office on the Kingsville City Commission. Hinojosa has called Kingsville home since the summer of 1981.

“We are monitoring closely Commissioner Hinojosa’s progress,” City Manager Mark McLaughlin said Thursday, “we wish our Mayor Pro Tem all the best for his upcoming rehabilitation and recovery.” The City of Kingsville will share any pertinent information on Commissioner Hinojosa’s status on our Facebook page and on our website at CityofKingsville.com.
