CORPUS CHRISTI - (News Release) CCPD wants to remind you that it is a crime to make, use or buy illegal license plates, so do not buy or print illegal tags. Vehicle registration, license plates, paper temporary tags or permits can only be obtained from:

-Licensed vehicle dealers

-County Tax Assessor Collector

-Texas Department of Motor Vehicles regional service centers

If you suspect a car dealer or individual is selling illegal tags, you can report it at www.TxDMV.gov/complaints
