Five Females Arrested During Prostitution Sting

NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS - (News Release) On 05-31-2024 members of the Robstown Police Department's Organized Crime Unit with the assistance of the Killeen Police Department's Organized Crime Unit Detectives conducted an undercover operation directed at prostitution due to the increase of Human / Sex Trafficking and Prostitution within Nueces County. An undercover officer posed as someone seeking sexual favors in exchange for money.

During the operation five females were arrested for Prostitution. Two of the females arrested were also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 (more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams - Meth) and one of them had an outstanding Motion to Revoke Probation Warrant out of Nueces County for Arson.

A female who was waiting outside for one of the arrested females was also arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams (Meth).

In Texas, Prostitution is a Class B misdemeanor which if found guilty could be punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000; confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days; or both such fine and confinement.

Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 (more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams - Meth) is a Third Degree Felony which if found guilty could be punishable by 2 to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000.
