CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) - On January 11, 2023, airlines across the United States received orders from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to halt all departing flights following a systems outage. The Notice to Air Mission (NOTAM) system suffered an outage overnight. NOTAM facilitates conversation between airports, pilots and air traffic control. This system reports hazards, abnormal conditions, closures and outages.

The ground stop has been lifted nationwide following thousands of flights being delayed. Flights at Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) are beginning to resume following the outage. CCIA did not have any NOTAMs issued during the transportation halt.

Please contact your airline directly for questions or use their app or website for up-to-date information.
