CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) - Citizens now have the option to electronically sign in for the noon public comment period on the City’s website. Beginning June 28, 2021, citizens may sign up electronically using the following link: https://www.cctexas.com/signin. Electronic sign-up opens the Monday before the regularly scheduled Tuesday City Council meeting at 8:00 a.m. and closes at the beginning of the Council meeting at 11:30 a.m. Citizens will still have the option to sign up in person in the Council Chambers on the day of the Council meeting before the meeting begins.

“This new process ensures the public has the ability and extended time to sign up for public comment from any electronic device and no longer only in person. As Mayor, I have asked that our residents have the full ability to sign up to be heard. Public comment is one way in which we hear from our residents, and it will always be safeguarded by me,” Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo said.

These procedures can be found on the City’s website at www.cctexas.com/in-person. As a reminder, citizens still have the option to submit their public comment in writing.

For more information on submitting written public comment, please go to the City’s website at https://www.cctexas.com/detail/covid-19-public-comment-input-procedures.

For more information, please contact City Secretary Rebecca Huerta at 361-826-3105 or by email at RebeccaH@cctexas.com.
