CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is excited to offer its competitive swimming program. Registration for three competitive swim teams to train at Oso Pool, Collier Pool and the Corpus Christi Natatorium this summer. This introduction to competitive swimming is ideal for young people ages 6-16 with little to no experience competing in a pool. While this training will not be a long-term team commitment it will involve three final swim meets between our three City pool teams to immerse themselves in the experience and thrill of competition.

This FREE program is for the following age groups: (6-9); (10-12); and (13-16). Participants will need to be able to swim 25 yards unassisted to be selected for one of the teams. Team tryouts will be scheduled by Aquatics staff. Team members will be required to commit to practice two times per week during the program period. The team training schedule for this six-week program will run June 14–July 23, 2021, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10am–12pm at the Corpus Christi Natatorium (3202 Cabaniss Parkway), Collier Pool (3801 Harris Drive), and Oso Pool (1109 Bernice Drive). We will hold a swim meet at each pool during the last week of the program.

REGISTRATION: Space is limited on each team, so early registration is strongly encouraged. Register Online at https://register.ccparkandrec.com/. Swim cap, goggles and team shirt will be provided to swim team members. Registration will be closing the Friday before the first meeting on June 11, 2021.
