ARANSAS PASS (News Release) - The first class of the Aransas Pass Civilian Defense Academy had 9 citizens complete the five-week training course. The training included the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE), Stop the Bleed, protecting your Residence, Defensive Tactics, and a final Scenario Based Active Shooter training where students were placed in the shoes of a law enforcement officer responding to an active attack event.
