Bishop Police Department

BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) Bishop Animal Control Services was previously handled by an independent contractor. However, the City of Bishop has since created an internal city department and authorized a city employee position to be created for Animal Control Services.

Animal Control Services is a separate city department, now under the administration of the Bishop Police Department.

Bishop Animal Control Services is now active and available for calls for service within the city limits of Bishop.

Bishop Animal Control Services staff are on duty and available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

For Animal Control assistance, please call 361-584-2443 Option # 3.

*IMPORTANT: After hours calls will be forwarded to BPD 24/7 Dispatch and callers will be advised to call back during Animal Control’s regular duty hours, unless it is an emergency.
