ALICE (News Release) - On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Alice Police Department CID Detective observed a wanted subject on the 300 block of N. Johnson. The subject entered a vehicle when the detective made contact with him and advised other patrol officers to assist.

During the investigation crack cocaine, methamphetamine and a firearm was located inside the subjects vehicle. Investigators also learned of the location of a stolen ATV in the Jim Wells County area.

With the assistance of the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office, Officers were able to recover the stolen ATV.

The subject was identified as Israel Gonzalez, the suspect who allegedly committed the burglary at JMI Machine Shop earlier in the week.

Mr. Gonzalez was arrested and incarcerated at the Jim Wells County Jail.
