Navy Jet out of NAS-Kingsville Crashed

LAKE WORTH - According to a press release from the Chief of Naval Air Training, a Navy T-45C Goshawk training jet out of NAS-Kingsville carrying an instructor and a student crashed in a residential neighborhood in Lake Worth, Texas. The two were conducting a routine training flight that originated from Corpus Christi International Airport. The cause of the crash is unknown.

Forth Worth Fire Department said the impact occurred at around 11 a.m.

The plane caused a small fire to erupt and 3 houses sustained damage. No residents were injured in the collision.

Naval Air Training Command said the instructor is in stable condition, and the student’s condition is unknown, but he is alive and receiving medical attention.

No details about why the plane crashed has been provided.

This is the second crashed that has occurred under NAS-Kingsville within 6 months.

The last crash from NAS-Kingsville happened on March 24, 2021 about three miles outside of Orange Grove.
