Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Fire and Emergency Services firefighters responded to a mutual aid call to assist with an estimated 200-acre wild land fire south of Corpus Christi near Chapman Ranch.

No injuries and no property were lost.

Agencies on site included Annaville FD, Lagarto FD, Orange Grove FD, ESDs 1, 2, 3, 4, Kleberg County FD, and Texas A&M Forest Service.

Initial cause of the fire is believed to be catalytic converter from vehicle driving through high grass.
